20 more homes proposed for Woodlands Lane

We would like to draw your attention to a planning application which has been submitted to Surrey Heath Borough Council and also to an extension of the original deadline for responses.

The application is for the development of 20 two and three bedroom affordable dwellings on Woodlands Lane with new access from Woodlands Lane. The site is known locally as Chamness and is very close to the proposed Heathpark Woods development and also the motorway.

The Society has already made a submission on 11 March. The Council has confirmed to us that all representations received up until the relevant Planning Application Committee meeting will be taken into account. This meeting will be held on 1 June 2023 at the earliest.

The developer submitted two new plans on 27 April. We are aware of a letter written by the Council to individuals who have already made a submission, notifying them of the new plans and asking for any further comments by 19 May 2023.

Therefore, if you wish to comment personally on the proposal (whether objecting, supporting or otherwise), you can still do so and we recommend that you make your submission by 19 May 2023 in order to ensure that it is considered.

The application can be found on the SHBC website using the reference 23/0080/FFU – Land east of St Margarets, Woodlands Lane, Windlesham. Submissions can be uploaded to the SHBC website or emailed to development.control@surreyheath.gov.uk
